Description

Triclopyr 600 is a foliar spray option for tough-to-kill woody weeds and many noxious herbaceous weeds. Triclopyr 600 acts rapidly on weed foliage to provide quick browning of leaves and stems. Triclopyr 600 is used to control broadleaf weeds while leaving grasses and conifers unaffected. Similar products include Axeman 600 and Garlon 600.

Triclopyr 600 is classified as a Group I Herbicide, with a mode of action where the weed cannot grow due to disruption of plant cell growth. Triclopyr belongs to the Pyridines chemical group.

Active Constituent: 600 g/L Triclopyr present as the butoxyethyl ester

Controls woody weeds including:

  • African boxthorn
  • Blackberry
  • Capeweed
  • Common prickly pear
  • English ivy
  • Eucalyptus
  • Saffron thistle

Weeds need to be actively growing for herbicides to have optimum effect. Delay treatment until all regrowth has had time to grow to one metre high in situations which have been bulldozed, slashed, burnt, ploughed or areas having previous chemical treatment.
