Description

Trikkala is a large, cream-seeded Sub-Clover that belongs to the Trifolium subterraneum ssp. yanninicum family. It demonstrates a prostrate to semi-erect growth habit, persists well on moderate to heavy soil types, and will tolerate periods of waterlogging.

Trikkala demonstrates early to mid season maturity which makes it suited for medium rainfall environments. It demonstrates good seedling vigour and will provide excellent growth during the winter and early spring period.

Trikkala can be grown in areas with a 5–6 month growing period and can be used in short term cereal rotations. It has been superseded by superior varieties with improved disease resistance and herbage production. Trikkala will provide the benefits of soil nitrogen whilst providing an effective disease break
