Winter Active Equine Blend is a hard wearing, winter active, low NSC, Temora tall fescue and Confederate Phalaris based equine pasture blend designed for persistence and quality on heavier soils.

Our Winter Active Equine Blend features deep rooted perennial plants, with strong root structures that can protect against pugging from horses on heavier soils and paddocks that have moderate waterlogging. The improved varieties in this mix have softer leaves over traditional older varieties, making them more palatable for grazing. The varieties contain no harmful endophytes for horses.

Grazing should be kept to a minimum in the first year to ensure the Winter Active Equine Blend has an opportunity to establish itself without significant grazing pressure.

Our Fescue Equine Blends contains the following high quality varieties:

• Confederate Phalaris

This mix is available with or without the following legumes below:

• Reaper Low Estrogen Red Clover
