Glyphosate Assist 1040 is a high-quality, concentrated non-ionic general-purpose surfactant designed to enhance the performance of agricultural sprays. It’s a non-ionic surfactant, so it doesn’t carry a charge. That makes it broadly compatible and able to work across a wide range of spray mixes.

What it does in the tank and on the leaf:

• Drops surface tension: Water normally beads up on waxy leaves. This surfactant lowers surface tension so droplets flatten and spread, covering more leaf area.
• Improves wetting of waxy surfaces: The molecule has a water-loving (hydrophilic) end and an oil-loving (lipophilic) end. The oil-loving part sticks to the leaf cuticle, while the water-loving part keeps the droplet spread out → better contact.
• Increases retention: By spreading and reducing droplet bounce, more spray stays on the leaf instead of rolling off.
• Helps penetration/uptake: The surfactant can slightly disrupt the waxy cuticle, helping active ingredients move into the leaf tissue (especially important for contact and some systemic products).
• Acts as an emulsifier/dispersant: Keeps actives evenly mixed, helps wettable powders disperse, and improves overall spray uniformity.
