Notman Pasture Seeds is a family run business that supports the agricultural industry in Australia improve productivity and efficiency through enhanced growth in the paddock.
Notman Pasture Seeds was established in 1987 to provide seed and seed mixes to meet the demands of the Australian farmer. Since inception, the business has grown to supply over 1,500 farmers who often face difficult farming and climatic conditions. Much of the growth has derived from pasture & service, innovation and research along with on-farm field days at Peter & Elaine’s dairy farms milking 1600 cows in Poowong (VIC) and Walcha (NSW).
Over 40 years experience in the seed industry throughout Australia. Lead role in Western Victoria to deliver quality agronomic advice in pasture and forage cropping. Based in Purnim 15km north of Warrnambool, Andrew continues to manage trial sites of new and existing products in Western Victoria.
Peter is a Nuffield Scholar, and past Chairman of the Victoria branch; a facilitator of focus farms over 20 years; invited as guest speaker internationally in North and South America, Asia, Europe and New Zealand. Today, Peter consults to Notman Pasture Seeds in a agronomy role using his extensive agriculture knowledge to provide the best products to local farmers.
Jonathan has been working in the agriculture sector for more than six years while studying agriculture at the University of New England. Jonathan worked for Peter & Elaine at Walcha Dairy for one year before moving to become Assistant Manager at dairy farm on the mid-north coast of NSW. At the beginning of 2020 Jonathan joined the Notman Pasture Seeds team in focus on expanding our connection with farmers in the Western District of Victoria.
