Description
Diflufenican 500 is a residual herbicide designed to control young emerging broadleaf weeds in cereals, pasture and broadacre cropping systems. It is especially effective on small germinating weeds, helping reduce weed pressure early before competition impacts crop or pasture establishment.
Its residual activity provides extended suppression of key broadleaf weeds after application.
Why farmers use it
- Strong control on young emerging weeds
- Residual activity for extended weed suppression
- Excellent fit in pre and early post-emergent programs
- Helps keep paddocks cleaner for longer
- Reduces early weed competition during establishment
Key weeds targeted
- Capeweed
- Chickweed
- Doublegee / Spiny Emex
- Fumitory
- Mustards
- Turnip weed
- Wireweed
- Volunteer broadleaf weeds
Apply Diflufenican 500 when weeds are actively growing. Good spray coverage of the weeds is important. Apply before weeds are obscured by the crop canopy. For optimum results apply 4 to 6 weeks post-sowing. Application beyond 8 weeks post-sowing may result in reduced levels of weed control. Under certain conditions such as high crop and weed density, late season germinations, higher rates of product (up to the maximum rate of application specified for that weed) may be required.
