Description

Long Term Hardy Equine Pasture Blend contains species that can tolerate drier conditions and hard grazing including prairie grass, new generation soft leaf cocksfoot and brome grass.

This blend is slower out of the ground that other equine pasture blends, but is very persistent once established due to it’s strong root development for summer dry tolerance. The addition of Leona Prairie Grass has improved productivity through winter, quality and persistence, and outstanding palatability. This blend is ideally sown in Autumn once the Autumn break has arrived, or in early spring before moisture in the soils runs out.

This blend is a good option for horses suffering or prone to laminitis, as it features slower growing grasses and no ryegrass. For use in the 500 mm+ rainfall/irrigation zones.
