Description

No fuss equine blend, tough pasture with good value

Economic Equine Blend pairs prairie grass with cocksfoot for a simple, durable horse paddock. Prairie grass is the quick starter—fast germination, broad leafy feed, strong autumn–winter growth and high palatability to draw horses onto the new sward. It suits fertile, well-drained soils and responds to good grazing.

Cocksfoot is the long-term anchor—deep-rooted, summer-dry tolerant, and dense at the base, so it knits the surface and resists wear in gateways and worked areas. Establishment is slower than prairie, so protect early from scalping and pugging; once set, it carries the blend through dry spells and suppresses weeds.

Economy Equine Pasture Blend includes the following:

  • Matua Prairie grass — fast to establish, highly palatable, cool-season feed.
  • Vision Cocksfoot — summer-dry persistence, firm footing, resists wear.
