We’re pleased to welcome Hannah Thorson to the Notman Pasture Seeds pasture team, working across Central and East Gippsland.
Hannah joins us after working as an agronomist with AgWarehouse in Maffra and Dumbalk, where she built strong experience working alongside dairy, beef and mixed farming businesses across the region. Growing up on a dairy farm at Dumbalk in South Gippsland and studying agricultural science helped shape her interest in practical, on-farm agronomy and working directly with farmers to improve pasture and crop performance.
Since joining the Notman team, Hannah has already been out on farm checking summer crops and pastures, working with farmers as they transition toward autumn planning. The move from summer into autumn is one of the key decision points of the season, and Hannah has quickly settled into the practical, paddock-focused approach that underpins how we work.
Over recent weeks, Hannah has been working closely with Peter Notman on farm visits and pasture planning, gaining a strong understanding of our product range and service. She has also been working alongside Gavin and Jason to coordinate seed and chemical supply direct on farm in her region.
Hannah brings a strong interest in pasture systems, soil and crop management, and a practical approach to helping farmers make confident decisions. Her role will focus on supporting dairy and beef producers with pasture and forage planning, seed selection and timely on-farm service throughout the year.
If you see Hannah out and about across the region, make sure you say hello. She’s looking forward to getting to know more local farmers and becoming part of the farming communities we work with every day.
