Description
Wintaroo oats are a tall, mid season maturing hay oat with excellent early growth. Wintatoo Oats are suited all rainfall areas of south-eastern Australia and will tolerate sandy loam to medium clay loams. It will not tolerate excess waterlogging and will perform better with improved fertility. In regions of 450mm rainfall plus, Wintaroo Oats should be sown beween 100 and 120kg/ha or even sown in 2 directions (diagonal hatching) to increase plant density, dry matter yield and hay quality.
