We’re seeking someone who wants to grow with us — joining a trusted Gippsland team, taking ownership of a key territory, and driving sales success by connecting with farmers at decision time, delivering clear advice, ensuring timely on-farm service.

The Role

We are seeking a Sales Agronomist to join our Gippsland team, growing our presence in the high value Macalister Irrigation District, Central and East Gippsland regions. You’ll be responsible for the full cycle of sales agronomy — driving sales by connecting with farmers, giving practical advice, and making sure products are on farm at the right rate and time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Actively drive sales by talking with farmers at key decision times, building long term relationships with existing and new clients
  • Deliver concise farmer friendly advice
  • Work closely with the Gippsland team to align sales, marketing, logistics and farmer support across your region
  • Ensure prompt service — managing orders through to on-farm supply
  • Assist with on-farm demos and work with the team to evaluate new pasture options
  • Contribute at local pasture events, field days — strengthening our team’s engagement with local farmers

This role also offers ongoing knowledge development. Through continual updates from global breeding programs and leading seed companies, you’ll stay close to the action — from novel endophytes to advanced breeding technologies and new genetics that lift pasture persistence, animal performance and profits returned to farmers. This knowledge gives you a real edge to take back to your customers.

About You

We are keen to talk to you if you have the right experience, skills and personal attributes — and just as importantly, align with our values. The right person will be:

  • Confident and knowledgeable in sales — an ability to build trust and maximise sales opportunities (essential for this role)
  • Farmer focused – understanding of dairy and pasture systems
  • Driven and dependable – someone who follows through and is prepared to go the extra mile
  • Practical – turning agronomy knowledge into clear, farmer-friendly advice that leads to confident purchasing decisions
  • Collaborative — proactive in sharing regular insights, aligning with company values
  • Local or willing to relocate – based in, or prepared to move to, a central point in the service area (Macalister Irrigation District, Central or East Gippsland) to provide timely on-farm support

This is a secure, long-term role with Notman Pasture Seeds — ideal for someone who values stability, while also having scope to grow with a progressive, farmer-focused business.

Please submit your CV and a short cover letter, along with responses to the following two questions:

  1. How would you advise a dairy farmer on pivot irrigation who wants to re-sow after maize harvest in late March?
