Description

Vibe Italian Ryegrass is a very persistent and very high yielding diploid Italian ryegrass, with ultra late heading (+27 days c/Nui) to ensure it maintains pasture quality late into spring and early summer. Developed, evaluated, and brought to market in Australia in a joint venture with Cropmark Seeds, using local research and real-world performance under Australian conditions.

Vibe, a diploid, handles hard grazing very well and hangs in there when most other Italians won’t, with excellent persistence and without the animal health issues caused by some novel endophyte containing Italian ryegrass varieties.

Late heading advantage

With a heading date of +27 days, Vibe holds its forage quality longer into spring, extending the window for high-quality grazing. This makes it up to 10 days later heading than traditional Italian ryegrasses, helping maintain nutritional value for longer. Additionally, its low aftermath heading ensures a rapid return to a vegetative state, supporting improved livestock performance and maintaining excellent palatability.

Sowing and Establishment

For best results, sow as early as possible when moisture is available to maximise winter feed production in the first year. Regularly monitoring soil fertility will help optimise pasture growth and performance. The recommended sowing rate is 20–35 kg/ha.
