Description

Kentucky Bluegrass is an extremely hardy tufted, perennial, rhizomatous turf grass with excellent repair capabilities. It was a unique trait of growing underground runners called rhizomes which allow the bluegrass to spread and thicken the sod to a very thick density.

It is well suited to companion planting with other grass varieties and to the colder highlands of NSW and Victoria, as well as Tasmania. Kentucky Bluegrass is often mixed with other cool season grasses such which allow greater tolerance to shade, as well as wear resistance. Sun requirements for this turf are high, as well as needing a good supply of water available for it’s lawn care
